Conditions
The Open Division will be FIDE and ACF rated. The U1600 will be ACF rated. Players who are not Australian citizens or have a permanent residency visa must have a FIDE ID number to enter the Open tournament. This can be obtained from their national federation.
All players under 13 years of age must have a parent or guardian on the premises at all times.
Entry in the Open section is restricted to players with an ACF standard rating of at least 1400 or a FIDE standard rating of at least 1600.
You need to register and pay by 5 June to be eligible for the early entry fee.
Absolutely no entries will be accepted on the day
Full-time students under 25 can enter at the junior rate. Student ID card must be produced on the day of the tournament otherwise the applicable adult entry fee will be charged.
For Pensioner discount, Pensioner Concession Card or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card must be produced on the day of the tournament otherwise the applicable adult entry fee will be charged.

The NSWCA is happy to announce that it will conduct a National Arbiters Seminar under the approval of the Australian Chess Federation (ACF). The lecturers will be Bill Gletsos and Rob Watson.
National Arbiter under the Australian Chess Federation:
ACF has approved a new process for individuals to obtain their National Arbiter title:
1. Attend an ACF endorsed National Arbiter seminar
2. Must be 16 years of age in order to obtain a National Arbiter title
3. Pass an exam set by the lecturer at the end of the seminar (80% pass mark)

Entries close Sunday, 1st September 2024. Late entries incur a $10 late fee for all players.

Clocks start at 7:15pm sharp each Tuesday.

If you are not present by the default time without a valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the tournament. To be included back in the draw, you must pay a $10 penalty fee.
