The NSW Chess Development Program aims to increase player participation, improve the quality of events, assist organisers and arbiters in developing their technical skills, and support the long-term sustainability of chess in the state.
All organisers of chess tournaments are encouraged to apply on behalf of their organisation for support from the NSWCA.
Applications are to be sent to tournaments@nswca.org.au in accordance with the guidelines below.
The following documents may be useful for organisers in planning their events.
NSWCA Guidelines for Arbiter Appointments:
- One arbiter per 60 players, or part thereof, for classical and rapid events.
- One arbiter per 50 players, or part thereof, for blitz events.
