The Rooty Hill Chess Club Presents the Return of the 2025 Sydney International Open, sponsored by Jane Street.

Dates: Wednesday 23rd April to Sunday 27th April 2025
Venue: Conference Rooms 5 & 6 at Novotel West HQ

Divisions:
Championships: Over 2000 FIDE ONLY + Norm Event
Challengers: Over 1400 ACF or 1600 to 2050 FIDE (Accelerated Draws)
Contenders: Under 1600 ACF or Under 1700 FIDE (Accelerated Draws)

All classical divisions are 9 Round Swiss Events, with 90 minutes + 30 seconds as the time control


Blitz: Open to All (Accelerated Draws)
11 Round Swiss with 3 minutes + 2 seconds as the time control

Prizes
$16,600 Provisional Total Prize Pool

Championships: $8,750
Challengers: $4,550
Contenders: $2,300
Blitz: $1,000
